Young Sheldon Season 5 Finale Has A Secret BBT Easter Egg (& It’s Not The Shirt)
Ultimately, Sheldon did achieve all of those things. But, interestingly, when the prospect of getting married and having kids is brought up by Missy, Sheldon makes it seems like he doesn’t want that. It highlights just how much Sheldon changed in The Big Bang Theory thanks to the Pasadena gang’s friendships and Amy’s love, not to mention patience. The adult narrator in the outing doesn’t make any comment about how all of his younger counterpart’s dreams came true, however. Nonetheless, it was a fun and smarter reference to The Big Bang Theory, aside from Sheldon’s first Flash shirt.
Overall, the Young Sheldon season 5 finale isn’t as eventful as many would have expected. Granted, there is some significant development with other ongoing plotlines, such as Mary scoring a job with Brenda, which makes George uncomfortable, but much of the episode focuses on Sheldon and his fear of the future. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the season 2 finale, which directly tied into The Big Bang Theory finale.
