Stamp duty rates for women in Bhopal

Unlike most other Indian states that charge lower stamp duty, if the property is registered in a woman’s name, Madhya Pradesh charges a uniform rate from men and women. So, even if the property is being registered under a woman’s name in Bhopal, the buyer will be paying 9.5% of the property value as stamp duty, as would be the case if the property were to be registered in the name of a male.
